VISA TRAVEL MONEY & GIFT CARDS

TRAVEL MONEY CARDS

Latah Federal Credit Union offers VISA Travel Money cards at all of our branches. More convenient than traveler's checks, and safer than cash, these pre-paid cards can be used at millions of merchants that accept VISA cards. The card also offers you instant access to your money at over 950,000 VISA ATMs across the world, using a PIN number.

Since the Travel Money card is pre-paid, you set how much money you would like to load onto the card when you purchase it at your Credit Union. You can even get a second card that uses the same funds, for someone else to use. You may check your balance for free using the Internet. A monthly statement showing the transactions on the card may be purchased for a small fee. The card may be reloaded up to three times, though there is a fee associated with each reload of the card. If you return from your trip having not spent all the money on your Travel Money card, you can cash out the funds still on the card when you get home by coming into the Credit Union.

Travel Money cards are a wonderful alternative to taking your personal Credit and Debit cards with you to some foreign countries where fraud is more prevalent. You may call the customer service number at any time if your card is lost or stolen. There is a Zero Liability policy that may protect you from liability for certain unauthorized transactions. Since Visa Travel Money is a pre-paid, disposable card - not associated with any of your bank accounts - you may simply throw away the card when your funds are depleted. Travel Money Cards cost $9.95 per card and can be loaded with any amount from $250 to $9,999.

GIFT CARDS

VISA Gift Cards are available for purchase at the Credit Union! The gift cards may be loaded with any amount between $25 and $500. The Gift Cards cost $4.99 each, and are the perfect solution for any "hard to buy for" person.
